On March 6, 2008 Serbia ratified agreement of visa-free regime for citizens of Russian Federation. It is still undefined when exactly Russians can cross the border with Serbia without visa, but it shouldn’t take long for all formalities to close down. Welcoming Serbian move, official representative of ministry of foreign affairs of Russian Federation Mikhail Kamynin promised to counter with the same set of visa lifting procedures for citizens of Serbia. Tourist voucher or official invitation for business and private visits still will be required. The maximum stay will be no more than 90 days. There is no definitive time frame when it could happen, but most likely Russian MFA is awaiting the beginning of “actual” visa-free travel to Serbia for citizens of Russian Federation. Stay tuned.

I feel obliged, that before I order again right now, to tell you how great the service was for my previous order. Because of the New Years holidays, I couldn’t have gone to Russia in time without you. Having an invitation provided for me was great. It was even better that I was updated on my Russian visa status on nearly a daily basis and the visa was delivered to be on the exact delivery date- the day before my departure to St. Petersburg. Thanks for making possible my visit to my girlfriend!

I had a great experience with Russia-visa.com. At first I was uneasy about the Visa process, but their customer service rep addressed all my questions and concerns. These folks are very professional: they promptly updated me via email about all developments with my visa. The website is intutive and easy to use, and I certainly welcomed being able to fill out the application online instead of having to print it out and mail it. Most importantly, things went exacly as Russia-visa.com said they were going to go, and I got my visa on the exact specified date. Thank you!

Dear Russia-visa.com,

Got my passport today, on time and as promised. Thank you very much for making my last minute visa such a smooth process (leave day after tomorrow!). I really appreciated the constant email updates that you sent throughtout the process. It really helped take away a lot of the stress. This will be my first trip to Russia, but I already know it won’t be my last (I already have friends jealous of my trip wanting me to go with them when they go in the near future). You can be sure that I will use your company every time I’m in need of a russian visa and will not hesitate to recommend you to anyone I know going to Russia. Your prices and customer service are top notch. Please feel free to use this email on your website if you have a “customer feedback” portion.

Sincerely,

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday that a visa facilitation agreement with the European Union was the first step toward visa-free travel.

Russia and the European Union earlier Thursday signed agreements on visa facilitation and readmission at the Russia-EU summit in southern Russian resort city of Sochi.

“To start with, the simplified visa issuance procedure will be available to students, journalists, businessmen, culture activists, scientists and athletes,” Putin said. “But this decision is the first step towards the introduction of visa-free regime for citizens of Russia and the European Union.”

“I am positive that the introduction of new simplified visa regulations will soon become an impetus for the expansion of humanitarian cooperation, as well as for the joint work and interaction of artistic and scientific intelligentsia, young people and students,” Putin said.

He added that summit participants hoped the new agreements on visa facilitation and readmission would come into force by the end of the year.

Thank you for the feedback on how my Russia visa process is progressing. It’s so nice to deal with a company with such great customer service. Most places would probably just take the money and not bother saying anything until it was time to ship the passport back. I really appreciate the status update because this trip was kind of “last minute” and I will really need to know as soon as possible if there are any complication. Once again, thank you.
